And age is nothing but a restriction

See how Americans portray teenagers, or more specifically, 15-year-olds, and then see how the Chinese dress their 15-year-olds up. Then you'll realise that "looking old" is a different benchmark for both races / countries. "Looking old", on WordWeb is defined as appearing like you've come from the previous century; usually used as combining forms (clothings etc.).

Let's set two examples from each culture to support this point. So I've chosen Miley Cyrus and Rainie Yang from America and Taiwan respectively. Hmm, I've noticed that Miley's casual look is a blouse and a pair of jeans, whereas Rainie's casual look is in fact, rather not-casual, probably prissy and pretty. It seems to me that in Taiwan, you'll look old if you have no bangs at all, wear no cute skirts, and don't pose with a "twist" beside your purposely-puffed face. However, in America, being a teenager means that you will have to grow out of your childish bangs, wear make-up, and to smile without any intentional "face-twisters".

I think the above examples clearly show the difference between the difference in appearance of two 15-year-olds in two different countries. Singapore is, sad to say, stuck between these two cultures, English (America) and the Chinese (esp. Taiwan), thus the distorted line between looking old and looking right for your age in Singapore. So, apparently, it seems that many neighbourhood schools are more inclined towards the Taiwan direction, which explains the straight bangs, and the very obvious habit of trying to look cute or sweet. Vice versa, most English based schools are also more inclined towards the American culture, hence the more "mature" dressing and the knowing that the most natural look, smiling in this case, is the prettiest.

Okay, I just really felt like typing that long essay, maybe even an expository, because that's what I've concluded after so many years of observation (haha, obviously an overstatement.) So I'll start rambling on today.
Alright, yay to my maths papers, and boo to my physics and chemistry MCQ. I hope I can do well for the other sections in my physics and chemistry paper! Choir was intensely torturing, what with me standing beside Si Zheng in front for absolutely nothing. No one told me I had to learn from him, so I didn't care hahah. I was so bored and played with everything around me, and when I wanted to sing softly he told me I wasn't supposed to sing. OH WHATEVER! So I was just standing there doing nothing, laughing at people to myself, and to stone.
And rofl Wei Ting is the choreographer for Grease, lol. I just have so many things to do!! Try killing me.

1. Plan the DHS / RVC thing.
2. Learn the conducting from Si Zheng or I'll make a fool out of myself
sometime.

3. Buy Yong En's present!
4. Watch The O.C (more of a guilty pleasure instead)
5. Fix my character and if better, stop myself from doing things I will
regret.
